Introduction Time.

Post by The Don » Thu Jan 27, 2005 6:17 am

Hello. My name is Don. I am 43 years old with a 3 1/2 year old son and a 6 month old Lab pup. Found out I had severe sleep apnea over a year ago. Wore my mask everynight in the beginning then after awhile like so many of us I relaxed a bit and would use it 4 nights then 3. You get the picture. Within the last two months I have lost longtime friends to heart failure. Both passed in their sleep. They both had Cpap machines and not using them. Well you guessed it. I haven't missed a night or even a nap without strapping my Buzz Lightyear Space Gear on. Thats what my son likes me to call it. Well thats my story. I am so thankful for this site.

Take care everyone.

Hi Don! I think we kinda met already, but let me re-introduce myself. My name is Rina and I just found out about having apnea. I am a littled scared, only because it does look freaky and being a Single mom.... who would want to date someone that has to sleep with a "Freak-Machine" hooked to her? But as my monsters have said, they would rather have me around a few more years than not and quite honestly.... I don't think I am quite done with tormenting their lives yet.... afterall, there are the baby pictures to show their girl friends yet. Whenever they decide to bring girls home. hehehehehe!!! LOL

Sorry to hear about your friends. Remember, you have your son to think about, he needs you to torment him too..... Just Kidding!! I love my boys!
