Naps - Good for You

Post by ChicagoGranny » Fri Feb 17, 2023 11:36 am

With short habitual sleep, naps ranging from 10-60mins had clear and lasting benefits for positive mood and subjective sleepiness / alertness. Cognitive improvements were moderate, with only the 30min nap showing benefits for memory encoding. While there is no clear ‘winning’ nap duration, a 30min nap appears to have the best trade-off between practicability and benefit.

If I have a bad/short night, I refill my tank right away.
That way, I can grab some shut-eye when I need it.
Nighty-night, Granny.

Yea... I can't seem to remember, but I thought it was on this website where folks were saying that if you had to take a nap, your therapy wasn't right. I have always taken a short nap during the day when I can. It is good for me, and I never take one long enough to mess with my sleep at night.
