Such fun to wake up to.

Oh, this is crazy. I’ve been spending an hour trying to decide which of her songs to post as my suggestion for today’s music hit. Here’s her entire Greatest Hits Volume 1 album. Listen to two or three and she’ll addict you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFikNzlEUy4
(Be prepared for an occasional commercial ad interruption that can quickly be “Skipped.”)

Introducing Nana Mouskouri, one of the greatest female singers of all time. She’s shy, very humble, down to earth plain and has the self-discipline of a perfectionist. She has worn her eye glasses for her entire 50 year career except I think for two days when she did a three-day gig with Harry Belafonte and he gently insisted that she take them off and let her beauty show. She took them off for two day’s of shows with him, finally broke down and told him she’d either have to leave or be allowed to put her glasses back on. He relented, of course. He and she were about in their mid-20’s. She made it a personal practice of remaining after her shows to allow people in the audience to come back stage so she could chat with them. I met her that way in the late 60’s in Washington. She was ‘the girl next door’ who in Greece from a very early age made music and singing her guiding passion. Her parents had the means to provide her with the musical training she craved and through which she continually worked toward perfection in the quality and range of her voice. Listen and I think you’ll agree she pretty well got there.

She's very beautiful even with glasses on.

Here's one I like, Charlotte Church. See I'm not all about metal all the time

Lol, no from central Illinois. Caught the groundhog again and he's now residing 13 miles from the house, down by the river where he has great access to food. I feel bad because in a way I wanted to keep him.

As a child, a farmer taught me how to trap them. On my first attempt, I got two skunks and a woodchuck, aka groundhog. Groundhogs, ok, but do NOT mess with skunks!

Ironically, we don't have any skunks or raccoons living in our yard!
It's easy to trap a groundhog. Just put cantaloupe in a live trap. They like peaches and strawberries too but cantaloupe is their favorite. Trap will have to wait till the husband is back tomorrow. I don't like setting the traps and don't want to have to move them either. I think we may have to sink some fencing down another 18 inches all around the yard. That's going to be expensive! Yard is 100x160 feet. In 30 years this is the first year we have had groundhogs. I've had gardens every year too!
