Hello!
I haven't been on here in awhile and I'm happy to report my therapy is going reasonably well. Some nights go off course (like the day I woke up with the mask on my face but the hose on the floor for example)
Anyway, I am trying a nasal pillow mask for the first time - Airfit P10. I used it the other night but then wore my other mask last night because my nostrils were quite dry and sore. I suspect that it takes time to adjust to this mask like any other but I have two questions:
1) Other than Ayr Saline Gel, what else do people use to ease the dry nose - my climate line hose was set on auto so it should have been keeping a fairly high humidity consistently. I think I've read lanolin in some other posts but could use some help with it as I've never used it before
2) How do I choose the right size pillow? It seems like all three sizes that came with the mask will fit in my nostrils but I don't know what right looks like. With the medium, I had a 14 L/min leak rate which is much higher than my average lately. Nothing else changed except the mask (i.e., I wore my chin strap, slept on my back mostly).
For those who keep a close eye on the machine settings, I also switched my mask type to pillows so it would know what I had on. I'm really hoping to make this mask work but if it doesn't, at least I know the return insurance from CPAP.com!
Be well all - sweet dreams.

Re: Figuring out the right size pillow - Airfit P10
I go by how each one feels, lying down with the air on.
I can't get enough air with extra small, but medium eventually makes my nose sore,
even though it feels OK at first.

Re: Figuring out the right size pillow - Airfit P10
I think the first I used was an XS but quickly went to the S. I recently got a med and large along with my normal small so thought I'd try these 2. I used the large the last 2 nights and feel like there is less movement with them. I don't have a big nose or nares but the large just feels good and seems like I get more air. I didn't notice any problems with the small so who knows! I'll try the medium and see how that feels this weekend.
Morbius, are you bored?
