where to sell a couple of cpaps?

Post by ponchogoldstien » Thu May 21, 2015 6:52 pm

I found 2 cpaps at a garage sale last week. Took them to lincare to see if they were good, they checked out fine. I personally do not use a cpap. I do know they are fairly expensive. I'm not looking to make a ton on them. I tried ebay, and found rather quickly that is a no no. I priced them under what cpap.com had them priced. I checked some other posts on here and I thought I had my ducks in a row, but my posts keep getting deleted. Any help would be appreciated.

It would help if you gave the full name & model #'s of the machines = whatever words you see on top, and whichever ones are on the bottom (with #'s), tho' the 'warranty' sticker probably isn't important. Then maybe we could help you find out how many 'blower' hours are on them... not the 'run' hrs - different thing. And if they come with any accessories or not (hose, bag, etc), and how much you want for each.. we could also help you find appropriate prices. Start with the above...

You will not get anything near what CPAP.COM sells them for.
You have no warranty, no service, no support, no reputation, and you have no clue what you are selling.

I had posted all of that but twice the posts were deleted. That being said I just posted 2 cpaps for sale, I didn't explain the situation or anything. I see how that could look kind of shady.

You could also try http://www.secondwind.com. You will need to provide them with the information Julie provided for you...

??? Krelvin is giving solid advice. We are notoriously cheap on this forum. You WOULD be better off selling elsewhere, if possible. Of course, craigslist is LOADED with overpriced, outdated machines on their last legs, and being sold by people who have no clue what model (ResMed never made a 57, did they?), what "low hours" REALLY are, etc.

I hardly think being rude to a 9 year member of this forum is going to garner you a sale, maybe it is you who should move along.

Let's check the facts here. 1. I wasn't asking anything near what cpap.com was asking. 2. Does anyone selling a used cpap on here offer support, service or warranty? 3. I Do know what I have, I posted the machine hours, had the machines looked at by a professional and tested. I have read Krelvin posts and he/she/it gets self righteous any time someone is trying to sell something on here. 9 years on a forum, over a thousand posts. Please everyone bow down to the great and almighty Krelvin. This is my last comment on here. Anyone that tried to help, thank you!

This is a patient support forum. And for those who stay long-term to help other new sleep apnea patients it is also a community of friends. krelvin is a valued and respected member of our community here.

You showed up here to flip cpap machines.

You probably shouldn't have lashed out at krelvin. Most of his friends have Spam buttons and they aren't afraid to use them.

I'll be surprised if any of your "for sale" posts stay up longer than a few minutes now.

I considered making a helpful suggestion, but I changed my mind.
I also considered another suggestion, both unhelpful and rude; and it made me laugh soooo hard. . .
