Possibly because this is not a sales forum. It is intended for User support, not selling things. You are a new user, unknown with no reputation. But that is just a guess.

The forum is sponsored by a CPAP company (CPAP.com) which sells equipment and people selling CPAP machines can cause them regulatory issues.

There are some exceptions given especially for people selling their own personal equipment, but if you are selling 2, then you don't fit in that category.

There are plenty of cpaps for sale on this forum. I don't get it.

The ones being sold here are a) used (usually), b) being sold by members we know already, and who've been shown to be honest and reliable (which, of course you may very well be), and c) show up with some personal history re OSA/Cpap, etc... and maybe an explanation why they no longer need the machines, or if they're new, why they're selling them like that. Etc.

The point being that the forum is not a turnover sales place, but a forum on OSA and Cpap, and sales (as above) are incidental, not automatic.

I've complained about this before, and it seems like it is getting worse again. Since we don't have a set rule against it, we get a lot of people who drop in, just to sell a machine. Many of them are expecting a high selling price, have no clue really what they are trying to sell, and they just see us a paycheck. There really needs to be a rule against this. For example, a minimum number of posts and time being registered before being allowed to sell a machine.

I am not the one who deleted the post, but I did grab a piece of paper and started writing down the dates of the ads to get an idea of just how many ads we are getting these days. Then I scrolled down to this thread. I have no problem with the few regulars who do have machines for sale. They usually do not post sales posts, but do respond to those looking. And they help with other threads. But I do not want to see this forum turn into a marketplace.

well, if you hadn't just flounced in here and set up shop for your little sale extravaganza, and had actually bothered to learn anything at all about the forum, you WOULD get it.
