DME Reviews.

Post by dsmithar15 » Tue May 05, 2015 11:43 am

I'm currently using Apria and I'm not overly pleased with their customer service and slow shipping. I've spent a few hours on the internet and browsing forums but I can't find decent reviews on any of the supply companies. I live in a large city so there is no shortage of DMEs but I can find much info on which ones are "good".

What has your experience with your current/past company been like?

There are reasons why you haven't been able to find any.........very few exist. Kind of like unicorns and jackalopes.

I bypassed the local DME shops and ordered my stuff online from https://www.cpap.com . My insurance provider also reimbursed me for 80% of the initial costs, too. Not all insurance providers will do that, but some will if a person uses the correct approach (like discussing it with them beforehand). In some/many cases, it's less costly to purchase all of the equipment online anyway. It's important to know the insurance coverage, deductibles, co-pays, etc.......and "do the math".

Supercare health (http://supercarehealth.com/) is a scam. $295 to get delivery of the machine then they charge my insurance $180/month (which ends up costing me $60/month) for a $365 machine with a $69 mask. I am trying to return the machine but they need a prescription from my doctor to tell them it's ok for me to return the machine and of course no refunds even though I have used the machine only 3 days.

That is just bogus. You don't need an RX to return equipment. You don't like the equipment, their service or the phase of the moon. There are consumer laws which cover you on this. Also, call your insurance company, they many times will assist with a wayward DME.

I thought there were laws that any sales contract can be cancled within 3 days.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual
