I found a clinical manual for what appears to be a ResMed S9 Lumis Tx machine that I've not seen mentioned on this board before. It appears to be a hospital use machine.
It states it can be used in the following modes:
CPAP
AutoSet
VAuto
S
ST
T
PAC
iVAPS
ASV
ASVAuto
Would that providers would only make machines with this flexibility instead of the range from brick to whatever they do now.

If you Google "ResMed S9 Lumis Tx", you'll have pages of links to the ResMed site about it.JDS74 wrote:I found a clinical manual for what appears to be a ResMed S9 Lumis Tx machine that I've not seen mentioned on this board before. It appears to be a hospital use machine.

Re: S9 I've never seen before
The Lumis TX seems to be marketed for hospital use and mentions "PaceWave."
The S9 VPAP TX seems to be marketed for sleep labs and doesn't mention PaceWave, but does mention the TX Link connection module and the EasyCare TX titration software.
I'm not sure there's a real difference or just marketing.
Maybe the Lumis TX won't do the remote control titration stuff.
I'm not sure whether "PaceWave" is something new, or just a marketing term for their ASV and ASVAuto algorithms.

From various ResMed pages on the subject, PaceWave is a marketing term as you indicate.

I figured PR would post on here...he has neat toys. This is the one that required some extra box piece to communicate with the computer for remote monitoring and operation, isn't it?

Re: S9 I've never seen before
yes, the difference in the lumis tx and the vpap tx seems to be that the lumis is a standalone model, and the vpap is designed to be remotely controlled, and have remote data collection.Tatooed Lady wrote:I figured PR would post on here...he has neat toys. the usb adapter and 'extra box' also work on other s9 machines to remote control them, and provide live data
