Re: Snoring with my ASV
I'm assuming since my machine is 10 years old that it's the older model. I didn't even think about it until now that my paperwork (which I kept in my machine bag) probably says exactly which model it is. I looked at my sleep study, but didn't even think of looking at the machine paperwork. I'll have...

Re: Snoring with my ASV
I am 44 so yea, menopause could be in my not so distant future. And yes, I have gained weight over the years, nothing sudden. I thought that an ASV machine automatically adjusted itself. Do they have a range limit that I maybe need to adjust?

Snoring with my ASV
It's been a while since I've been around. I've been using my ASV for almost 10 years now and it's been going mostly smoothly. I've been using the same type of mask the entire time - the Airfit p10 nasal pillow. Over the years I've bought a couple other masks to try (nasal and full face) because ther...

Re: Mask Problems
I adjusted the setting on my machine to the full face mask. I adjusted the headgear. My husband said I was snoring all night again. I'm pretty sure the problem is when the pressure rises it pushes the silicone seal and the mask leaks. I noticed this a couple times while I was trying to fall asleep. ...

Mask Problems
Okay, so I've had my ASV for 5 years now. I've used the Airfit P10 nasal pillow mask from day 1 and I love it. However, it makes it really hard to breath when I'm stuffed up. So, I finally broke down and got a full face mask and bought the Airfit F20. I tried it out last night and fell asleep withou...

Re: Are nasel pillows for low pressure treatment only?
Yea, I was told the same thing and that I would need a full face mask. I said there was no way I was using a full face mask. Asked for the AirFit p10 nasal pillow mask and have been using it with no issues. I have an ASV so my pressures vary and at times do go above 20 with very rare minimal leaks.

Re: Goodbye, AirFit P10. Call me when you're improved....
This is the mask I have been using since I started using my ASV a couple years back. I've tried a couple different masks and keep going back to the Airfit P10. I agree that the headgear is very frustrating. The only way I can keep my mask from shifting all over while I sleep is by putting the bottom...

Re: New Diagnosis/DME Fight & Looking For Advice
Thankfully when I set my mind to something I prepare, prepare, and prepare some more. After reading the horror stories on here and speaking privately with some very knowledgeable people here, I knew exactly what I wanted. Because I had to get an ASV, which is a very expensive machine, I knew exactly...

Re: best type of mask for side sleeper
I am a back and side sleeper and roll frequently throughout the night. The best mask I found for side sleeping was the Airfit P10 nasal pillow mask. I used it for over a year. I've been using the Dreamwear nasal mask for a couple weeks now and I definitely have problems sleeping on my side because t...

Re: Funny call from sleep doctors office today
Lol. That's funny. My husbands DME keeps in touch to replace his mask and supplies once or twice a year. They just called him a couple months back and since he had already met his deductible I told him to order all new stuff. it would be cheaper than buying the items on his own from Ebay. The only t...

Re: Another Dreamwear question
So, I used the Dreamwear with the pads and I was surprised how much better it fit! The mask had a really good seal. However, the problem I still have is when I roll over. The mask shifts slightly and I get leaks when I try to roll onto my side. I fiddled with it for a while last night and eventually...

Re: Airfit P10 Headgear Loosening Up
I replaced my headgear after about a year. Like another poster said, it was fairly cheap from Ebay. I didn't realize how much it had gotten stretched out until I compared the old and new one side by side. Definitely worth replacing.

Re: Cold/plugged up nose and Airfit P10
Although some take the "all or nothing" approach to using CPAP therapy, I am of the mindset that if I'm sick and it's too hard to breath through the mask, I will take a break and not use the machine for the night. Struggling to breath through a stuffed up nose with a mask on feels too much like havi...

Re: Another Dreamwear question
I am using S9 Adapt which is ASV and I have some pretty strong bursts of pressure and I haven't seemed to have had any issues with leaks from the pressure changes. Any big leaks I get are when the back strap slides up to far on the back of the head causing loss of tension and movement of the cradle...

Another Dreamwear question
Okay, since the last Dreamwear post is at 11 pages long please forgive me for starting a new one. After I got the Dreamwear (medium frame, small pillow) I wore it with my ASV for 5 straight nights. The first couple nights seemed okay - I just had to get used to the fake "leak" feeling on my nose tha...
