Re: Take a look at my PulseOx Report
Hello icipher, I think your first question was well answered by palerider on where the low value came from. As he note, be sure to turn on the device with your finger inserted. I typically wait a few seconds before I start the recording function after turning in on also. Pulseoximeters do not like a...

Re: UGH - Swift FX Nano - Insurance Issues
Thanks everyone, To me the mask is a keeper, but perhaps I will start looking around at other masks. I think I can get 6 months from the mask now so it just fits into the replacement for "frame" with my insurance. I just have a feeling that this will be recurring conversation every 6 months with my ...

Re: UGH - Swift FX Nano - Insurance Issues
So, this time I called ResMed - and yup, they said that CMS coded it as part of the frame A7034... my insurance is a bit strange as for code A7034 is every 6 months and A7034 headgear every 6 months... most interesting I think

UGH - Swift FX Nano - Insurance Issues
Hello Everyone, Looking for thoughts on this. So I use the Swift FX Nano - it appears that the "cushion" based on the how the mask is built is considered part of the frame and I am told from my DME that they can not bill the replacement cushion under A7032. I guess when the mask was new they were do...

Re: Buy versus "rent to own" insurance challenges?
I have BCBS of South Carolina - I argued for months to buy the equipment out after the 3 months of compliance data. I had no luck - so best of luck to you. I also argued about carry over from one year to the next - and I lost that one also. I a have the HSA high deductible plan and was pretty much s...

Re: What do you think about my pulse ox report?
unfortunately most pulse oximeters do not store the plethysmographic waveform. If you use sleepyhead - you can record from the Contec devices directly into the software. When you do this it records the plethysmographic waveform, or pleth graph for short. Looking at the pleth graph you can determine ...

Re: What do you think about my pulse ox report?
I use the Contec CMS50F - very sensitive to movements, as most are. to really understand what you are looking at - try this link - http://www.howequipmentworks.com/physics/respi_measurements/oxygen/oximeter/pulse_oximeter.html the most interesting part is where it explains how the device works with ...

Re: traveling to Europe this summer
I travel to Germany all the time - Delta business class, I plug the machine in and never had them question me. someone earlier in another post mentioned to pack a roll of electrical tape - just in case you get a hole in the tube you can wrap some tape around it to keep working. That was a new one fo...
