Post by Cyndi5000 » Mon Apr 27, 2015 10:29 am

Anyone gave the software and card reader they want to sell? Bought this secondhand and need the above to read sleep data off card. Thanks

I can help with the software part but I don't use a M series machine any more and the card reader I used is long gone to someone else.

It is still available on the internet though...a bit pricey but at least available.

I assume there is an Encore Smart card in the machine already? If not those are still available.
With Encore Basic software you can erase the prior user's data from the smart card.
There is a way to erase the prior user's data from the machine itself.
There is also some limited data available on the machine's LCD screen. Do you know how to do get to that data?
7/30 day average leak and average AHI is about all you get though but it may be enough to suit your needs right now.
The provider clinical manual can be requested here and it explains how to erase prior user data by resetting the machine and it explains how to get to the data on the machine's LCD screen.

Let me know via private message if you want the software...Windows only though.

Which specific model do you have? I was unclear from your Subject title and post.
If it is either the "Pro" or "Auto" models, then it's data-capable. If it's the "Plus" model, it doesn't collect anything but hours used.

Those old card readers are ridiculously expensive now that they are rarer - they used to be much less expensive. It would be great if you can find one for a good price. It certainly doesn't hurt to try.

When I started having problems with the card in my machine after 19,000 hours of use, I bought the machine in my signature on craigslist for $100. That reader you're talking about usually costs about $80 at the places that sell it.

Machines that old are often approaching end of life. I had the same machine and the internal card module failed after 19,000 hours and the machine would just beep and not start when the memory card was plugged in. I tried a new memory card and it did the same thing.

Thats not great news but hopefully I can find the reader at a reduced cost and make a small investment in case this macjine fails too!

I bought one last year in July brand new. Looking for the info on where I got it. It was < $80 if I recall, closer to $55.

I still have it but keep it with my backup machine Respironics REMstar M-Series BiPap Auto

UPDATE

The place I bought it from is out of stock and may not get them back in. However, I found another location.

Sent PM with the info to the OP. It was for $43 + Shipping.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM

If that place is in China and it's the same reader I bought a while back then just saying that mine was defective. They did refund my money after I complained about the cost for me to ship it back to China. I was told to keep the reader. I sent it to someone on this list who also couldn't get it to function properly. Just saying.
