AirFitP10 and incorrect usage per CPAP
AirFitP10 and incorrect usage per CPAP
Hi, I am a new to the CPAP world (for about two weeks now). So far I used ResMed Mirage FX for her and didn't like the headgear. NuancePro nasal pillows is ok, but the vent is to noisy. Last night I tried my new AirFitP10 mask and was happy with it. The mask was on my face for more then 7 hours but this morning the machine showed only two hour usage. I think I may have slept with my mouth open (didn't have this problem with Nuance pillow mask). Showing only two hours usage is a concern because to be compliant with the insurance I have to have at least 6 hours per night for the first month and I am afraid to use the mask again. Anyone having the same problem? Thanks!

Did you sleep past noon and then check the machine hours?

Re: AirFitP10 and incorrect usage per CPAP
Couple points...
Compliance is typically >4 hrs 70% of the time. This gives most plenty of time to make compliant for Insurance purposes, but does not mean you are getting good therapy for your condition.
If you have Auto Start, having a large mouth leak may turn the machine off. Could also be that you took the mask off part of the night.
Looking at your data using Sleepyhead, will tell you exactly what happened last night, not just a recap of the entire night which can sometimes not provide they why...
As already pointed out, if you slept past noon time that the machine time has, it will only show the time after noon, not the time before. Again, Sleepyhead will tell you exactly what happened, how many hours etc.
