Does it feel raw or abraded? If so, that is fairly common for new users of nasal pillow systems like the sift fx. If it is raw or rubbed, get the Lansinoh as mentioned above, and use a small amount on your nostril openings.

If it is not "raw", I would guess you have it too tight.
