Re: 3 yo daughter has sleep apnea

Hey, ya'll! Finally got back on here to update. My daughter just turned 4 and she is doing AMAZING!! Recovery was a little longer than 2 weeks for her and a little rougher, but not completely awful, than anticipated. Due to my sleep apnea and cpap use, having to get up with her to keep her pain unde...

3 yo daughter has sleep apnea

Wow, popped on to check on this thread and wow! thanks for the useful comments and oh.my.word to the crazy stuff!! Sleepynina, I'm pretty sure I've had sleep apnea all my life or at least since I was in my teens (just diagnosed in March) so it made me hyper aware of my daughter's (and son's, but not...

Re: 3 yo daughter has sleep apnea

Thank you so much for all your responses! I appreciate having some more info to go on. All my research has pointed to doing the surgery and then approaching it from another angle if her apnea doesn't improve. This past winter we all had more sore throats, strep throat and this spring/summer have bee...

3 yo daughter has sleep apnea

So 5 1/2 months after my OSA diagnosis, my treatment is going great, I'm using my APAP machine every night. I am now almost able to quit taking my blood pressure meds completely. Almost off of the anti-depressants and feeling much, much, much better. I just had a hysterectomy, to help resolve severe...

Re: Reformed Bear makes progress! SleepyBear's CPAP Journey

Awesome! Hope everything is continuing to go well! You are a rockstar!! I'm feeling so much better every day! More energy, not quite as grumpy/tired, decreased migraines, lower Blood Pressure, easier (ha ha. when is it ever easy?) weigh loss and I'm loving life. And I've only been using my APAP mach...

I sent you a PM with the link, SleepyBear! Sorry it took so long to answer you! I was on my phone last night and couldn't do anything from that.

Re: Intro/My Story

Welcome! So glad you're back on board the hose brigade!! I'm pretty new at it, too. Diagnosed in Feb. and got a loaner machine end of March. I just got my actual machine and the Airfit P10 nasal pillows mask. I am still tired but have had significant improvement with my blood pressure, fewer migrain...

Re: Getting my new machine soon.....

So, I've had my brand new machine and new mask for two nights now. My Fitbit activity tracker is showing that I haven't been tossing and turning as much while sleeping. I'm loving how light the new mask and it's short hose are. Uploaded my sleepy head data and my numbers look good, I think. However,...

Re: Getting my new machine soon.....

Finally got my actual, take home and keep, machine. So excited. It has data capability with a modem (3 months) to confirm compliance for insurance, until then they (ins.) are renting it for me. It also connects to the Sleepmapper app. So I will be checking how that works and see if it has enough inf...

Re: Hi, new member here!

So, I'm starting to feel a bit better and have a little more energy. I'm only taking a nap every now and then instead of every day. I'm almost off my BP meds! I set the lowest pressure at 6cmH2O. I'm only having around 1 migraine a week now instead of every day with a day here and there without one....

Re: Poll: Length of time on xPAP before feeling 90-100% restored

I just started my APAP therapy 5 weeks ago. So I won't vote now because I'm still pretty tired and can't hike up a mountain without feeling exhausted for 2 days afterwards. However, my high blood pressure is dropping quite nicely, my migraines are diminished, I'm more patient with my children, I can...
