How Can One figure Out Where Obstruction Is Comming From?

Post by Dave007 » Thu Apr 23, 2015 11:15 pm

Is there some sort of test one can do to figure out what body part is causing the obstruction? I can go to the doctor to be put under and he can check but that seems a little extreme. Maybe there is a night vision camera attached to a night guard or something? Anyone have any tips?

Dave,

As far as I know, the sleep endoscopy which is what you are referring is the only way this can be done which is usually done to target the right procedure for people considering surgery for their apnea is the only way to determine this. Otherwise, there really isn't a way as far as I know.

Why are you interested in pursuing this? Any difficulties with therapy that this board can help you with?

Which part of your body do you want to do away with? Just keep thinking up ways not to use xpap. Jim
