Post by STL Mark » Sat Apr 11, 2015 4:33 pm

I was able to get the following zero hour machine. Feel free to IM if you have questions.

ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet. This is a new unit with zero hours. It is in perfect condition with the integrated heated humidifier, humidifier tank, slimline hose (not ClimateLine), power supply, SD card and travel case. The unit has never been exposed to a smoking environment. I will provide free shipping to a US address, or at cost shipping outside the US. References available upon request.

If you could....what is the advantage of the upgraded power supply? And what is the purpose of the conversion? Sorry I'm new to this.

Big Dave,

Thank you, I have responded.

Sleepynewb,

The upgraded power supply is only necessary to support the heated hose in the upgrade since more wattage is used.

The upgrade kit makes the humidifier compatible with the Respironics heated hose.
1...Using the heated hose helps with more options in terms of customization of the humidity that is delivered.
2...Using a heated hose will help prevent rain out/condensation in the hose or mask because it prevents the air from cooling down and releasing the moisture in the form of water in the hose or mask.
3...Using the heated hose will enable a person to have warmer air (and control the temperature of that air) so that the air is more comfortable blowing on or up the nose or on the face. In the winter my bedroom temps are quite cold and without the heated hose I found that I was waking often from discomfort on my nose because the air was so cold it made my nose hurt.
So in the winter I can use a lot of warmth and in the summer I can turn the temp down and the air will be cooler and with all these temperature changes I keep the humidity being delivered to my nose at a constant level. I learned a long time ago that my nose liked lots of moisture and didn't like change at all.

Some people find that the heated hose is very important to the success of their therapy but other people have no need for it at all for any number of very valid reasons.

The upgrade kit consists of the larger power supply, the heated hose and the special lid for the humidifier.
It's easy to change out the lid...I did it myself without any issues at all.

Oh...any newbies reading this and wondering if this guy is for real and is he trustworthy....the answer to those questions is "Yes". I have bought 3 or 4 machines from him for various reasons and everything has always been exactly as stated,

It doesn't have to be bought right now though...it can be added later if it is determined that the heated hose is needed for some reason or other.

Hi Mark, I am interested in the s10. Could you please contact me, I'm having trouble sending you a PM. And also just wondering if there is a major difference between the two hoses (slim vs climate
One). I did my CPAP trial on a PR remstar one with a-flex so not sure if that hose was heated. Thanks, Simon

I received the DS560 in the mail yesterday. (See post no. 1.) Thanks, Mark! My first night's AHI was 0.3, compared to 2 or 3 on the S8 Autoset II I was using.

The S8 has one feature I will miss. The S8 lets you view your stats or access the clinician's menu while the machine is running, unlike the System One. Oh, well.

I acquire machines from time to time that are from local sources and sell them. I only acquire ones that are fully data capable and that I can sell at below market value. Several here have bought from me and learned that it is a safe transaction with good communication.

I entered into my CPAP journey a few years ago and saw how many people were paying thousands of dollars in copays and being taken advantage of by their DMEs. I found new or slightly used machines were something I could acquire with my contacts locally. Thus this sale.

Thank you for your interest.
Mark
