Re: Change to AirSense S10 from S9

After getting my AirSense 10 I will also add - It seems to be a little quieter than the S9 - The built in modem is 4G LTE where the S9 modem was 2G/3G. The S9 modem didn't work in my house but the AirSense 10 works fine - With the AirSense i can log into resmed.com/myair and view a dashboard of my d...

Re: Change to AirSense S10 from S9

Thanks for the info. I don't use the climateline hose and don't need to see the display at night so I should be good to go.

Change to AirSense S10 from S9

I am changing from an S9 Autoset to and AirSense 10 Autoset. Other than the appearance difference, any functional differences I should be aware of? I started CPAP 90 days ago and my DME, American Home Patient did not have AirSense 10s yet. They told me to start with the S9 and when they got AirSense...

Re: Help selecting from four DMEs

I have been very happy with American Home Patient. When I first went in the prescription from my GP didn't say anything by CPAP 10CM. They helped me fill out the form that got the mask all supplies etc. They are a RESMED only company and only have the S9s right now. Since the S10 is out, I didn't wa...

Re: No CPAP for 3 weeks - doc won't help - what to do?

How about a walk-in clinic. I would think they would write a script for a mask. Task your sleep study with you if you have it.

Re: How did you get your machine?

Recently diagnosed and just got my machine this week. Did my research beforehand and decided I wanted a Resmed 10. Found a DME that carried only RESMED. Took my prescription to them, but all my prescription said was CPAP 10 H2O. Since this prescription didn't even say mask and supplies, I was going ...

Re: Question about pressure for new user

2 nights of CPAP done Turned on ERP (2) yesterday. Seemed to make sleep more comfortable as exhales were easier. Might have made the machine a little noisier, but it was nothing that bothered us. Mask is an issue. Only two nights using it and the bridge of my nose is bright red with a small open sor...

Re: Question about pressure for new user

That was pre-CPAP during 1st night sleep study. During titration study PulseOX didn't drop below 90%.

Re: Question about pressure for new user

I have a WISP mask. I felt like I adjusted it a couple times in the middle of the night because it was hitting in on the bottom of my nose. When i got up, I has some soreness on the bridge and bottom of my nose. I broke my nose as a kid so have a bump on the bridge and that is where it hit.

Question about pressure for new user

First night of CPAP last night, 9.5 hours of usage and Sleepyhead reports AHI of .21. Didn't feel like I slept that well. Mask fit was not great,, but might have been that headgear was just too tight and will adjust tonight. My question is about machine setup. My pressure is set at fixed 10. The mac...

Re: Getting DME to provide machine of choice

Small town and none of the DMEs seem to have the most recent model of any brand. The DME said there was some issue between them and RESMED on the pricing of the Airsense 10. So what they are doing is using S9s until they are out of stock, then they will start giving out the 10s. Since 10 is on my pr...

Re: Getting DME to provide machine of choice

I plan to get it in writing and I have good justification since RESMED AIRSENSE 10 ELITE was written right on the prescription.

Re: Getting DME to provide machine of choice

Well it didn't work as hoped. Turned out the DME that had the 10 Autoset was not a preferred provider of my insurance and was not taking new patients not in plan. Ended up at a DME that carries only Resmed. They didn't have 10 Elite yet, but if my prescription said 10 Elite on it, they would fill wi...

Re: Getting DME to provide machine of choice

Thanks. I plan to go to the DME that said they had the Autoset 10 and see if they will fill my script with it. If they won't I will tell them the other provided I called said they will start me with an S9 and then give me an 10 Elite when they get them. Hopefully they will want my business. Apprecia...

Re: Getting DME to provide machine of choice

Do I need to have my prescription written for APAP in order to get an Autosense? I am happy to hear it has CPAP mode. During my titration study they were able to control my apneas fairly quickly, but had trouble controling my snoring. I was worried the Autosense would help with the Apneas, but I wou...
