Unfortunately they would not be covered with my insurance so that is about useless at this point.

Re: Newbie with information overload!

I have been trying to work with my insurance to PURCHASE a new machine and I think I have it worked out with them but I need a place to get the equipment from. They gave me a list of DME's to try but I do not even know where to get it from because this has to happen before the end of the year or els...

Re: Newbie with information overload!

I am open to suggestions on the fragmented sleep but I have tried some OTC sleep aids and they never really did anything for me. I don't know what else to try?? I do plan to keep an eye on craigslist for a machine but I did that before and was not impressed with what I saw on there. As for another D...

Re: Newbie with information overload!

I am sure everyone here have seen people come and go but I just figured I would check in since things took an odd turn for me. I did post some data in another thread http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t108084/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104533&p=985926#p985926 . So I used the machine for about 7 months with ...

Re: slammed with massive bill

Apria got preauthorization for my machine then tried sending me all kinds of bills because they were billing my insurance company wrong. I got my insurance company to call Apria and it took a while but they finally got them to do the proper billing. I have not seen the results of it yet and Apria kn...

Re: AHI/Leak Data and Nasal Pillows vs FFM

Have you tried the nasal pillows for a week straight? From my little experience and what I have read here it can take time to get used to changes in therapy.

Re: [Poll] Do you use anything to help keep your mouth closed?

I just don't get the whole tongue thing, because my tongue doesn't prevent any air from getting out of my mouth. it's all in the back of my throat as to where the air goes, I can easily breath through clenched teeth, I can open my mouth wide and stick my tongue out and no air comes out when I've go...

Re: First 3 nights

Chart is still a little fuzzy, but you are only showing just under 6 hours of sleep. Why do you have such large gaps in your sleep. You can click on the new image to see the original. Like I said I tried to take a nap because I could feel I was going to just fall asleep watching tv and I just got o...

Re: First 3 nights

Sorry I picked the wrong link here is the correct one. The pressure is fine but that is my main problem my OSA is under control but I don't feel any better and sometimes I think I feel worse. It seems to me I have to wait and see if things improve but patience is not one of my strong points. I feel ...

Re: First 3 nights

I did get the P10 mask and have been using that but I am still not feeling the benefits yet. I still fall asleep during the day when I am sitting down watching tv so yesterday I tried taking a nap when I got home from work and as I expected it killed my sleep for the night. I don't know what else to...

Re: New to CPAP Woes

I have only been on CPAP for less then 3 weeks but I had unrelated arousals during my sleep study and so far my sleep is just as crappy as it was before CPAP. My plan is to wait until the sleep doctor calls for the meeting that is required by my insurance to see how things are going then if things h...

Re: Help selecting from four DMEs

I went with Apria without knowing better. I talked to my local office with a direct number from the sleep center and things went alright except the RT did not want to give me the mask I wanted so I had to go back for the exchange before the 30 days were up. Calling their normal numbers is a joke wai...

Re: Five weeks in: update and thanks

It sucks you had such difficulties in the beginning but at least you are starting to reap the rewards now. Good luck with your therapy and keep hope for much more improvements as you keep moving forward. I am only one week in so far and find using the cpap only a minor inconvenience but have seen no...
