Just ordered sleepweaver anew full face mask. Any reviews?

Post by Punchyandtired » Wed Mar 04, 2015 2:23 pm

I have to email my prescription to cpap.com before they can process it.

My f+p full face mask is hurting my face since I'm up to a pressure of 15 and have to cinch it to my face.

Circadience responded to an email I sent saying the mask works with higher pressures.

They also have a 30 day money back guarantee... So I thought I'd try.

Does anyone have experience? I searched but not much info...

If you ordered from cpap.com there are hundreds of reviews on the page where you placed your order.

Yes but I can't ask them any questions.

I don't think it was heavily reviewed or tried here on the forum. So not a mask with a huge number of members trying it.
But if you search the forum for "Anew" you get some hits like these below...and it appears you have to eliminate typos where people said anew and they meant a new.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/sleepw ... -mask.html
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=103251&p=970418&hilit=+Anew#p970418

It hasn't been wildly popular though at least from what I have seen here on the forum member's limited experience.

I just returned one. It was comfortable, light, quiet, and seemed to allow for side sleeping. However my anatomy seems to be of different ratios than its design and I could never get a perfect seal. I was looking forward to it too. I'm going to continue to follow this mask in case the manufacturer decides to modify/improve its design.

Thanks!!! I saw some post mentioned the nasal mask, but I hadn't seen anything about the full face mask.

Sgearheart, do you feel your facial anatomy is large or small? I have small delicate facial features. On cpap.com it seems a lot of women give it 5 stars, but I don't know what their faces are like.

There seems to be the usual breaking in period and I watched a youtube video saying to let it fill with air and then put it on your face. Toggle up and down to seal.

I'll post updates on this thread as I find out. It was shipped today from texas so it should be here soon.

(I looked up dealers on the webpage and *duh* my DME is listed as a dealer. It honestly didnt occur to me that they would have it. Small town.)

I had my local DME send me one on one of my 6 month mask purchases. I took a nap with it for 2 hours, and I felt terrible.
When I checked my data in Encore it said I was 1 hour 58 Minutes in Large leak. I got it to work for 2 minutes without leaking. So I gave up on it. It was to hard to tell if it was leaking or not...

The DME sent me another one last week by mistake when I told them to re-order my supplies. They were supposed to send me my zzz mask. The lady told me to keep it and they would send the correct mask out for me. Good Luck with it.

I wish you well..

If it doesnt work out, I'll order some padacheek liners for my Simplus FFM and see if that helps the fart symphony I have every night.

The bridge of my nose is wider than its design. I'm sort of "big at the little and bottom at the top" type of guy. I hope it works for you.

I too thought I would try one - and just returned it yesterday. I played with it for several days but could not get the leaks under control. I also found it a bit uncomfortable on my upper lip regardless of how loose or tight I had it. May have been a bad fit.

I got the SleepWeaver Advance in the mail today and played with it for about 10 minutes. Seems a bit better (for me) but still has some leaks from the sides. It passes the mask test but is very noisy. More tinkering is definitely in order. If this doesn't work out, I'll try the pillows next. Been using a FFM for a year but now that my allergies are under control I am hoping for something more comfortable.

Good luck.

- Flappy

Ah. Sounds like everyone likes the idea but...... Well, I shall see...

I gave the pillows a good ole college try and I still feel like I'm suffocating. I have had nasal turbinate surgery years ago so i chalk it up to narrow anatomy. I give up on the pillows.

Plus, I like to sleep on my stomach.

I've been doing pap treatment for a few days now and I'm using a Philips Respironics Wisp Nasal mask. I've found it very comfortable and it seals up nicely for me using the large mask. There is also a small/medium and extra large mask included. I tried all of them and found large worked best for me.

I fit myself with this mask last night but could never fully stop the leaks unless I didn't move at all or held the nasal cushion section against the bridge of my nose. I abandoned this for my tried-and-true mask.

I want to try again but am not sure what to do differently. I read the reviews: one person tried all 3 sizes, and there was also a comment about getting the nose in the right spot... I guess it's trial and terror.

If I were to sleep with it, I'd be anxious about the plastic connector end jamming up against my face. When it's inflated, that seems to keep the plastic end away from the face, but there's no structural support to keep it at a distance.

I'll be interested to hear your reviews of this. I spoke with someone earlier this week who has been using a Sleepweaver mask for a full year, no problems, so I hope it works out for you!
