Re: CPAP Data Help
What is causing my CA? Your centrals/CAs are a symptom of your poor sleep quality and not necessarily the cause of your poor sleep. Are you waking often during the night? Any idea why? Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what? Do you have any other issues (physical or mental) that could...

Re: "CA" Clear Airway Events
In your third example, I think you are saying that the CA isn't real because you believe you were not really asleep....you 'awoke'? Correct. The big gulp means I wasn't asleep. Don't assume that since the breathing "looks" like asleep breathing that a person is really asleep. I got tons of awake br...

Re: Bad leaks and fits from AC11 and P30i
I thought once you get the okay and you can move around a little bit, you stop when you want. In other words I thought it goes on forever and when you're satisfied you just stop it. You thought wrong. Think about it....something that seals when sitting up might not seal at all when laying down. You...

Re: "CA" Clear Airway Events
For my own education - may I ask how you're able to determine that those events in your example are true central apnea events? Probably spent 2 years or so putting the flow rate (breathing) under the microscope looking for sleep breathing vs awake/arousal breathing before I was comfortable with my ...

Re: "CA" Clear Airway Events
Are these arousal-related CA "flags" simply a function of my body being roused out of a deeper sleep? If so, it sounds like I have nothing to worry about with these events. Yep....still look like arousal/awake breathing flagged events to my eye. And yep....nothing to worry about except it points to...

Re: "CA" Clear Airway Events
Reducing (or totally turning EPR off) won't make any difference with the central apnea flagging UNLESS EPR IS THE TRIGGER for causing the central apneas. Are your central apnea flags showing asleep breathing or awake/arousal breathing? Important to know the difference. Do you remember being awake ve...

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"
I've got a new doctor and new insurance. Are they going to make me do another sleep study? Start by checking with your new insurance company as to what THEY might be requiring before they go buying you another machine. Each insurance company (and their myriad of different plans) may have different ...

Re: Sticky: Distilled Water vs. bottled water vs tap water
I am not worried about the water tank because that get's replaced every 6 months and what I do is used filtered and then boiled water that I use for drinking. However, since the AR11 is a new machine with some problems, I am using only distilled water in case something goes wrong. I am not really h...

Re: Help with my numbers and data?
Are you comfortable with making changes to your machine settings yourself? My suggestion would be change from cpap fixed mode to "autoSet" auto adjusting mode. Set minimum to 10 and max to 20. See what happens. Do you take any meds of any kind? If so, what? Do you have any other health issues that m...

Re: Help with my numbers and data?
You have chosen the wrong machine in your equipment profile. The correct choice is the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet. You may need to scroll down the list to the R section to spot it. Are you having any nasal congestion? How are you sleeping???? Soundly for the most part or is your sleep fragmented wit...

IT has made some server storage corrections that should help with the attachment storage problem....at least for now. They are working on a more permanent solution. So for now.....I think you can post attachments. Excellent news! Do they consider allowing the moderator and her deputies to delete ol...
