Hi everyone,
I am new to all this and are not normally one to chat much on forums, so please be patient. I am in Australia and it seems a little bit different with buying your machines and masks. Is there any one else here from regional NSW that may have some advice as to someone just starting out in the world of sleep apnea.
Thanks,
Katrina

Hello and welcome. It might help catch the attention of those in your area if you edit your title and include the location.

Cheers

Thank you, will be in touch tomorrow afternoon. Have run out of day today.

The simple reality seems to be that if you buy a new machine in Australia you'll get support from the retailer and warranty from the manufacturer and it'll cost you about $2000.
If you buy from the US it'll cost less than half the Australian price, but you'll be on your own to manage the machine and you'll have no warranty (but the machines are generally reliable).
Your call.
No disrespect to the host, but due to licencing issues with the export of some brands of machine (ie: ResMed), foreigners can usually only buy from the secondary market in the US. secondwindcpap.com is worth a visit.

All well and good, but you have to actually HAVE the $2000 to spend. Some people don't
