Sleepyhead: longest OA you've ever seen?

Post by AMK » Thu Feb 26, 2015 8:22 am

I had a 23 second long OA last night that looks legit, and I thought, "Whoa." I wondered what other people's longest OA has been (or CA; I sure had enough of those last night).

Every once in a while I will get one 60-70 seconds.....average 20-30 seconds. No big deal if they are rare.

I would think a Frog could hold its breath for a long, long time........don't you absorb oxygen through your skin!

People often have apneas over 120 seconds in sleep tests.

Hard to believe, but many have reported that.

In the first couple of months of my therapy back in mid-2005, I "supposedly" had a couple that went in the 60 - 72 second category. This was according to my MyEncore software (early versions of Encore Pro didn't show the length of time on them then). But, I say "supposedly" because it was not known for sure if the software recorded a single or multiple apneas that somehow clustered together. And, there were two different occasions when they happened, some weeks apart.
