Transcend H6B Humidification System

Post by slowpoke » Wed Feb 25, 2015 5:58 pm

Is it possible to use the Transcend H6B Humidification System with a non-Transend CPAP? That is will the tubing fit another CPAP or if not is there an adapter?
Thanks

The H6B is their HME non-water system.......if you are after an HME that is more compatible with standard hose and mask you could get the HMEs for the Z1 which is made to work with standard cpap hose and mask.....

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/z1-hea ... -unit.html

Each HME can be used for about a week or so.

Not sure from your post if this is what your after, but the Transcend HME system does not seem very compatible if all you want is HME system.

Thanks for the response. I wanted to try the H6B since the filter attaches directly to the mask whereas the Z1 filter is in-line so it is positioned after the mask vent.

not sure I follow you...........the Z1 HME goes between the hose end and the mask connection, so the HME is located in-line between hose and mask which is not "after the mask vent"

You can check out the Transcend H6B at cpap.com and get an idea of it's compatibility, but it only works with certain masks and is meant to be used with the Transcend.

Hi, not sure how the Z1 and Transcend compare. The Transcend filter seems to be integrated with the mask (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi0ECrYNtS8) whereas the Z1 is "universal."
