Help noob fine tune settings
Greetings fellow hoseheads!
I have downloaded my data into the sleepyhead software and would like some input on how to fine tune my settings.
Can the collective wisdom here look at my stats and assist me with this? Please note that any data from the 6 month time period amd older is not for me as I downloaded the data for my uncle to provide to his doctor thus is not relevant for me. http://imgur.com/LKgBheY

1) you can delete data that isn't yours, if you need to dl someone elses data, put it into a different profile.
2) the summary page is only good for people that don't give a crap about anything, like doctors.
a few relevant daily detail pages, properly arranged, would be much better.

First, I would clean all the uncle's data from sleepyhead. It can be done by deleting all the old days of data one by one using a sleepyhead menu (look for it. I see it in SH 0 9 8 1's menu as Data->Advanced->Purge Current Selected Day).
OR if this is too tedious, you can just ignore all this data you have already imported in SH, create a new user profile, and upload all new data to that user profile.
Assuming that you have plain OSA. Further assuming that the 30 day data in the image is all yours, Here is what I would do.
1) Raise my minimum pressure from 4 to 6 (by going 1cm at a time or 0.5cm at a time, and holding it at new pressure for 7-10 days each).
2) Evaluate my data using sleepyhead every day or every few days (max once every 7 days).
3) Make sure mask leaks are under control.
It will take you next 30 days to get there. Once you are there, report your data in this same thread as an update.

Ok hopefully the photos show up, the forum here isn't the most user friendly when trying to upload images. Perhaps PR had some insight on how to upload photos more efficiently.

Argh! I'll go back and redo the screenshots and use imgur instead of flickr. I just used flickr since it has 1TB of free storage of pictures and vidoes. I will redo the pictures using imgur in just a minute, my biological alarm clock(newborn baby) is going off.palerider wrote:yup: https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgurmrrsquared79 wrote:Ok hopefully the photos show up, the forum here isn't the most user friendly when trying to upload images. ETA: F10 does NOT turn off the right sidebar for some reason??
ETA2: My version of SH does not have the option of pressing F10 to remove the right sidebar.

As I just discovered in my version of SH, there is no option to remove the right sidebar by pressing F10. In my version, it is F8. I will redo the screenshots and re-upload them in my previous post.OkyDoky wrote:Click on view at the top and uncheck the right side bar.

Re: Help noob fine tune settings
Just did, getting it configured basically copy all my data/folders then create new data/profile and re-import data off of card. Uploading to imgur now. Stand by for screenshots in next post here shortly.palerider wrote:get the latest sleepyhead, perhaps? (in my sig)mrrsquared79 wrote:ETA: F10 does NOT turn off the right sidebar for some reason??

Re: Help noob fine tune settings
We really only need that first image as it contains the primary data graphs that we like to see.
In general you pressure is sufficient to keep the OAs and hyponeas within acceptable numbers but I see some snores and FLs that are a little more numerous than I would like to see if it were my report. Snores and flow limitations and RERAs aren't part of the AHI but they can mean that things aren't quite optimal and are potential sources for sleep disruptions.
So I call those "clutter" for lack of a better word and usually all that is needed to clean up the clutter and better prevent them is a little more minimum pressure.
Your pressure settings are relatively low and it doesn't seem to want to go above 9...so if you are wanting to tweak things just a little all, I would do if it were me, would be increase that minimum pressure to 5 or maybe 6 cm starting point. I think that the clutter will reduce and quite possibly the AHI will reduce a little as well.
How are you feeling and sleeping?
