Error code 58 Reso bipap auto

Post by tomjax » Wed Jul 14, 2010 3:20 pm

I got what I thought was a great bargain on a brand new Respironics autobipap.

But when I tried to plug it up I got an error code 58.
it does not start with card in or out.

I cannot find what this means.

Any help?

Which Respironics machine is it.....the tank, the m-series or the PR series. Which one will make a difference in what the code means.

It is a Respironics BiPap auto with biflex
domestic

model 1017439
Got it on craigslist and can get my money back.
Not sure of its history.
Man said it was a friends who had another one and did not try to contact DME and simply put it away.
I doubt if any DME would even offer to repair it without me being the original owner.

Wonder what the e58 means

Thanks

If its the "Tank" model, E58 indicates the pressure sensor is bad. It could just be a loose or blocked sensing line, or the sensor is bad, in which case the Main PCA would have to be replaced. Probably not financially feasible to repair if the sensor is actually bad.
