no, spoke to an aquantiance about the success I had on here and was asked to give his a try. I could have made a new screen name if that would have made you feel better.

I have one of the previous machines sold by rohonda. Very fair deal and fast shipping.

For those people who aren't aware of what the 460 machine does....it is more than a fixed cpap pressure machine.
There is limited apap trial capabilities with it.
30 days apap with the ability to be reset up to 5 times I think it is.
Full data too.
A good price for this model for sure. Great back up machine and even can be used to self titrate if need be.
It can be converted to a heated hose machine (if not capable yet) easily for about $75 and that price includes the heated hose. There's a little upgrade kit that can be bought at cpap.com to make it a heated hose capable machine. I did the upgrade kit to one of my 60 series machine that didn't come heated hose capable...easy to do.

correct me if I'm wrong, but that limited apap ability is more of an extended home titration to determine the proper pressures, and then it re-evaluates on a regular basis and makes minor adjustments...

which sounds pretty clever to me.

I've just switched to the PRS1 560 but spent 8 months on the PRS1 460 and it was a solid performer. I never took advantage of the APAP mode but it's there. I think it would have helped me too since the APAP 560 machine has dropped my pressure a bit overall and my leaks have improved a bit. This price is excellent even with just the "standard" non-heated tube humidifier.

I am pretty sure it is full apap for 30 days (doesn't have to be consecutive). After 30 days that setting mode is more or less grayed out and unavailable unless someone does the reset trick.
It's not the same thing as the mode that checks the results every 30 days and will adjust the pressures accordingly. I believe that is a separate mode choice.

Originally people could keep doing the 30 day reset forever and essentially make these machines perpetual apaps but someone figured out that we would figure out how to beat the system so they implemented the limit of 5 resets of the 30 days apap. Darn them.

I think what you are thinking about in terms of the machine checking the data every 30 hours (or days, I forget) and maybe doing an adjustment on its own is a cpap mode function and isn't tied to apap mode and people will have that even if they use up all the real apap days.

on my machine after you complete the amount of days you set to go through the a-trial mode it will auto go in to c-check mode and every 30 hours of use it will check the pressure to see if it can be optimized by increasing or decreasing the pressure in .5cm increments.
