Raising pressure detrimental?

Post by Noctuary » Thu Jan 29, 2015 1:46 pm

Hi
Okay, I've had some good days since I went full face mask. Yesterday I felt better than I can remember. However, last night I thought I should try raising my minimum pressure (I am on APAP; range is 8.2-20). I just raised the min to 8.4. Today I don't feel so well. I am wide awake and alert but feel somewhat unrested.

Could raising my minimum just a tad have this effect?

Did you look at your nightly report?
You need to know what you're trying to fix before you start tweaking.
Are you using EPR.......and if so, what setting?
Could be that your pressures are bumping all over the place between your minimum and maximum. Could be that you had some leaks. Could be any number of things that need to be evaluated first.

OH......that's right.......you have a data-less machine in a range of pressures.......
Yep. Since you're not agreeable to trying single pressure, try raising your minimum.

Changing anything can affect how we feel...so yeah...maybe.
But also simply might be an "off" night of sorts and we can have those and not change a thing.

It's a small change but it is/was a change and sometimes the body simply needs a bit of time to adjust to any change.

thanks! I do seem to have this thing where I alternate between a body fatigue but rested feeling on one day, and no body fatigue but unrefreshed on another.
