Electronic copies of User Manuals and other documentation?

Post by Bartimaeus » Wed Jan 28, 2015 3:17 am

I'm trying to locate electronic copies of the documentation for my CPAP equipment so I can read it on my computer. Since I am totally blind, I cannot use the printed manuals on my own. I thought pretty much everything is online these days, so this should be no exception.

I've looked all over the Respironics and ResMed web sites. I can find sales sheets and brochures for my equipment, but not the owner's manuals. I was given a pretty good hands-on explanation of the system by my supplier, so I'm getting by for now. I'd still like to have access to all of the information that is available in these manuals and not have to rely on my memory from that day.

My machine is the REMstar SE from Respironics, and I also have a humidifier. My mask is the Quatro Air from ResMed. Does anyone know if these documents are posted online anywhere? Failing that, do the manufacturers offer any other alternative formats, such as Braille or Audio CD?

Thanks.

Check out this site http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual

at the bottom of the page are the various manuals. You will need to send them an email requesting your model of CPAP machine. Instructions are in the site.

Good Luck

PM sent with accessibility support.

Note that some pages like apneaboard's could be very difficult to navigate due to how they are built and the enormous amount of information contained on one page in many different formats, graphics etc...

The link provided by woody appears to match what he is looking for for the machine. But he might want the clinicians manual as well.

He has the Quattro Air which is not the same as the mirage. So far the only document I've been able to find is not an accessible format PDF file.

Thanks everyone, I have most of the files I need.. I sent a message to both companies on twitter, and they provided the documents. Respironics only gave me the manual for the CPAP machine, but not the humidifier. Maybe it doesn't have it's own manual? I wasn't expecting any reply from them, which is why I posted here. I'm glad I did though, as the response shows me that this is going to be a great community to be a part of. Thanks especially to sleep_quest for the link to apneaboard. While I don't think I'll be changing my pressure any time soon, it has lead me to what looks like another great online community of CPAP users. I just registered an account over there as well.

Glad to hear you got the docs. I have not gotten any replies other than from CPAP.com who said they didn't. No response from Resmed or PR yet.

Humidifier user manual link above.
It doesn't specifically say 60 series but it is for the heated hose 60 series humidifier because it mentions the optional heated hose.
