Covered California plans paying for CPAP supplies?

I have a life qualifying event. Well, once I get more hours at work, My income will go up. I expect to be working 64 hours each and every pay period once the middle of May comes around. And I am looking for another position and I'm seeking a sector change from non-profit to for profit with a higher ...

Re: New mask PF Pro Nuance

You could put a bunch of books on the floor under the machine. Or a box. Or anything at all. C'mon... And if you rinse out your filter daily you'll get rid of the dust anyhow - the filter stops it from getting into the machine. Have you tried using e.g. a Neti Pot nasal rinse before bed - they supp...

New mask PF Pro Nuance

Hello. I used to wear PF Wisp mask for about 2 years or so since July 2013. I finally finally finally purchased a PF Nuance Pro (gel) in early Jan 2016 to see if I like it. I got it yesterday and put it on during the day just to see how it would fit in my nose and more importantly, on my face. I lov...

Re: Exhale lips flapping?

A lot of people use tape, especially as you're going to only need something for a couple of wks, and if you fold over the end of the strip (wearing it horizontally) about 1/8" that gives you something to grab and get it off fast if you want to. I hope that changing masks would solve the ear issue t...

Exhale lips flapping?

This is new to me. I've been using CPAP since August 2013. I started using my BiPap since oh Feb or March 2015 and I never ever had any issues with exhaling with lips flapping. It started about 3 weeks ago. Not sure if it is related to my pressure being too high, too low or the other thing. I lost a...

Re: Poll: What type of mask do you use?

I am curious what percentage of people use the different types of masks. We are all different and what works well for one can be horrible for another. Nasal pillows work the best for my high pressure needs. How about you? I have changed the poll choices to match the mask types available on cpap.com...

Re: [Poll] Do you use anything to help keep your mouth closed?

Tape, because every single chinstrap I've ever tried gives me a headache--immediately! I've read that chin straps also - stretch and they don't help with the mouth opening at night. I've read on here that some people put tape over their mouth. I'm thinking that a mouth could open without the chin l...

Re: SleepyHead download again. . .

yeah, I'm still trying to figure this out. I don't have any "disk" (it is not a disk, but those little square things you put in the CPAP and put in the computer) and I don't have that IN my computer yet - it is still upstairs in my Bipap. So I'm getting another error message that I'm missing Qt5web...

Re: SleepyHead download again. . .

Google "sleepyhead software sourceforge" to get started with the Sleepyhead download. Amazingly, that is exactly where I went to download both the Sleepyhead software. So far I downloaded both the 32 bit and 64 bit. Both didn't "work". I got an error message in both that said "Potential unsafe file...

Re: SleepyHead download again. . .

Google "sleepyhead software sourceforge" to get started with the Sleepyhead download. Do !!!NOT!!! go to sourceforge. Sourceforge has crapware/malware ads on the download pages these days. http://www.sleepfiles.com/SH is the official home for SleepyHead now, and has no ads. (Well, other than the do...

Re: Sinus Surgery?

I had out patient surgery to correct a deviated septum and remove polyps.....after the first 2 days the recovery was pretty easy. It made NO DIFFERENCE in my sleep apnea. I did not expect it to make a difference. Ah, this is what I was looking for! You answered my question. Thank you. But I bet ya ...

Sinus Surgery?

I have a 2 cm lobular opacity in left maxillary sinus. 7mm lobular opacity in right maxillary sinus. This is why I have been having to much issues with my sinuses since 2005. However they did get much worse with the use of CPAP starting in 2013. It says I have cysts or polyps in sinuses, but the lef...
