Re: Cpap and beards

I haven't been on here in a long time but I'm a full bearded fellow too and use the Airfit P10 Mask and a chin strap to keep my mouth closed. Has worked perfectly for me for over a year with no leaks or other issues. Looks ridiculous but I sleep soundly. I tried full face and nasal masks but the pil...

Second CPAP Machine (backup?)

Hi all - I'm considering getting a second machine to have on hand as a backup in case something happens to mine. I know trying to get a loaner/replacement from my DME would be painful at best but curious to get the group's thoughts on this. Do others have backups and if so, do you try to get the sam...

Re: Ruby Style Chinstrap - CPAP.com warehouse label error?

That helps a lot, thanks. I ordered the CareFusion version through Amazon. It is the only time I've ever had to go outside of CPAP.com for my supplies so I'll chalk this up to an anomaly. For everything else, definitely the place to go. My insurance company asked me why I choose to only get 70% back...

Re: Airsense 10 Autoset Issue

I have had this happen maybe 2 or 3 times in the year and couple months I've had my machine. I unplug and plug the machine back in and it's fine for a long time again. I'm out of my compliance tracking for insurance so I usually don't plug it into sleepy head to check but if I remember the first cou...

Ruby Style Chinstrap - CPAP.com warehouse label error?

Hi all - curious is anyone else has recently ordered the CPAP.com ruby-style red chinstrap Xtra large? I've used this chinstrap for almost a year with great success but the last two they've sent me are clearly labeled incorrectly. The bag says extra large but clearly that's not what is inside. I've ...

Re: Cigna Coverage for CPAP.com

I assume you live in Brooklyn. Is Crapria the only DME in network? THERE? In Brooklyn! Egad! That would certainly put that insurance company in the file 13 list! I indeed live in Brooklyn. My DME is Medstar and in-network. I think Sheriff had to use Crapria but they're all awful IMHO. Care Centrix ...

Re: Cigna Coverage for CPAP.com

Thanks for all of the replies. CPAP.com is definitely out of network so I knew it would be at that rate if covered at all. Care Centrix told me the claim can't go through them because it's out of network. As luck would have it, Cigna posted their second review of the claim online today and it looks ...

Cigna Coverage for CPAP.com

Hi all - I'm wondering if anyone has had success with submitting out of network claims to Cigna for CPAP.com purchases? I seem to be going through a loop trying to get them to process the claim I submitted. It was only for a new mask and some miscellaneous supplies so if it doesn't end up getting pa...

Figuring out the right size pillow - Airfit P10

Hello! I haven't been on here in awhile and I'm happy to report my therapy is going reasonably well. Some nights go off course (like the day I woke up with the mask on my face but the hose on the floor for example) Anyway, I am trying a nasal pillow mask for the first time - Airfit P10. I used it th...

Re: Anyone else under 40 w/ OSA?

I'll continue the trend. I was diagnosed with OSA at 31 but now that I can compare treated versus untreated, I know I had it a long time before 31. Honestly, my biggest regret is not getting a sleep study at say 25. Even if life gets in the way and i only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep, those 4 to 5 hour...

Re: ResMed AirFit F10 with beard

I have a relatively short full beard but couldn't get the F10 to seal to save my life. It was the right size according to the template but it was just not going to happen and air was shooting out all over the place. If you find a good full face mask that does work with a beard though, please let me ...

Best Night With CPAP Yet Last Night!

In the spirit of it finally being Friday and the fact that I have a lot of extra energy today, I'm happy to post a successful night with my machine. Time Used: 6 hours, 22 minutes AHI: 0.4 Leak: 3/L Times up during the night? 0! I still consider myself a newbie only 7 weeks into therapy and I have n...

Re: Experience with the AirSense 10???

I have the AirSense 10 APAP and while it's the only CPAP machine I've ever owned, I have found it to be a solid machine in the six or so weeks I've had it. As Sleeprider points out, the ClimatelineAir hose is a good addition and while I've had to turn off the Auto Climate features due to my own craz...

Re: Nasal changes while on therapy

This is the exact same problem I tried to articulate in another thread the other night although this is laid out far clearer than I was being. I also had a sinus infection and it's gone now and am about 6 weeks into APAP. But, I have that nasal tone to my voice and all day long I get asked "are you ...
