Resmed louder at times

Post by Logies101 » Mon Jan 26, 2015 10:39 am

Sometimes I wake up during the night from what I think is my resmed s9 sounding louder than normal. So I'm wondering is this the leak compensation kicking in? I wake up really confused from the sound.

are you leaking at the time?

check the data and see if the pressure's had to go up for whatever reason.

Yes I think I may be leaking but my pressure is set at 9 so sleepyhead always shows a steady 9 on the graph regardless of my leaks. Does the machine work harder/louder to maintain that pressure of 9 and that is what I'm hearing? Sorry PR I'm not explaining it very well.

you should look at the leak graph, not the set pressure graph.

How much louder? Does it sound different or just louder?

Is the water tank low? Some PRS1 machines seem to sound louder if the water tank is low, but I haven't noticed that on S9 machines.
