AHI

Post by Sharhamm » Mon Jan 26, 2015 8:16 am

Trying to figure out my AHI's. My machine is set for smart start. Therefore everytime i remove my hose from the mask it shuts off. My question is...is the AHI showing when I get up in the morning for the entire night or just this last session?. My machine is ResMed VPAP ST.

The AHI displayed depends on what reporting period you have it set for; Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, 3 Months, 6 Months, or 1 Year.

If your machine is set for daily, it includes all activity from noon the previously day through noon on the current day...24 hours.

Hahaha - great advice there, PR. That's going to be my response from now on when anyone I know has computer troubles...

Sharhamm - in the meantime, while you're searching for a good kid to help you with sleepyhead, you can push the dial and hold down the info button at the same time - this will show you what the averaging time is, plus give you some access to other controls.

After spending 2 hours Sleephead finally downloaded. I have a 64bit computer but the software would not load. The 32bit loaded. I was able to see my report and last nights AHI was 1.07. Tomorrow I will spend some time playing with it to see what everything means. Thanks for the gentle push. Glad I didn't have to look like a fool in front of one of those little kids in the neighborhood. It's bad enough seeing the look on my 8 year old Granddaughters face when she is amazed that there are so many things that I don't know about my Ipad.

I feel your pain...my son was my resident "go to" til he moved to Iowa with his fiancée...now I have had to search out a new guru...the scary part is my bf uses ME to fix computer type issues...*shudder*
