Before following the link, my guess is that electric light de-darked stuff. Like closets and hidey holes. And other dark places.
But now i have to go see if I'm right.

They saved the eyes. Try working by candle or fire light.

Since my eyes aren't what they used to be in my youth, I've been using a Kindle to read at night. Recently I noticed that it's somewhat harder for me to get more profound sleep during the first half of the night. Conversely, about half the time I read a regular book using incandescent light and haven't noticed any disturbed patterns of sleep. Anecdotal? Heck yeah, however this seems to be interesting enough to do some further research. As a side note, for late at night Kindle and tablet reading there was a recent thread about people using transparent yellow filters to slap on the screens of their devices. I'll see if I can find it.

Here's the thread I found:

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I have always been addicted to bright light. It just makes me feel good.
My MIL was one of these people who would sit in the dark, just to save a dime.
I could not stand it! Dim rooms just depress me.
One of my best experiences was demonstrating pysanky for a segment on educational TV.
Those TV lights were awesome (did I mention I'm a light junkie?)
When I shut down the lights at night, I'm asleep within 10 minutes.
Maybe I'm an exception to the rule--if there is a rule.

No wonder CF likes lots of light - look at those gigantic eyes shown in CF's avatar. They are literally half the size of the whole head

Moths, eww, they are so dry and dusty. Personally, I prefer a nice mealworm,
crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Yum!
