HDM Z1 Canadian Version - Data Viewer Problem!!!

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchase a HDM Z1 in Canada; the unit is manufactured by HDM USA's sister copy HDM International/Breas International.

I tried using the Data Viewer Software to download data from my Canadian Z1 but all I get is data connectivity errors and corrupted data on the "Settings" screen. The Data Viewer Application is v1.07 and HDM International links to the USA version of the software.

Here is a screen shot (please note, ALL the data is wrong on the screen including model #/serial #/Device Settings, etc.)

Is this normal?

I contacted HDM USA's and after 3 - 4 days of back and forth they mentioned that the Canadian/International version is not compatible with the Data Viewer Application?

I find this highly suspect as like I said HDM International has no mention of this incompatibility AND link to the EXACT same version of the Data Viewer Application as the USA version of the device.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get in touch with anyone at HDM International - they're in Sweden and their hours are +7 and they don't reply to techsupport@breas._REMOVE_com

I had high hopes for the machine, but looks to be a lemon.

not sure why JDS74 bumped this old thread, but I believe the OP found a resolution to this issue back when he first posted in January...........
