Wireless Module

Post by Logies101 » Sun Dec 21, 2014 7:49 pm

I traveled to my daughters house today, out of state and the wireless module can't find the network. Do I even need to worry about it, I'll only be here for two days. Is it just for my Drs. downloading purposes or does it have something to do with the operation of the machine.

Enjoy your freedom...

Wireless reporting has nothing to do with the function of the machine while you are out of range.

You'll be fine. When you plug in back at home or in range, the modem will send. At worst, you will be contacted to reset the modem so it can send. The machine operation is separate from signal.

That's good news, I can always count on the members of this forum to educate me a little. Thanks for the help.

to repeat what the others said, nothing to worry about, the only function of the modem is to send very basic summary, and usage data so they don't have to have you bring in the card to verify that you're using the machine.

even if you never get the modem connected again, you could just take the sd card in... (which is where the real data is, anyway )

We had a guy at work directed to put the machine in his vehicle and plug it in and drive until he got a signal so it could transmit his compliance report. Needless to say he told them to pound sand

It transmits as soon as it has power and a good cell connection.

My buddy used to say "pound sand with a rusty spoon." He was a visual type.
