Airfit P10 Nasal Pillows and Breath Rite Strips

Post by Logies101 » Fri Dec 19, 2014 3:17 pm

I apologize if this question has been asked previously but I couldn't find anything in the search bar. I just purchased some Airfit P10 Nasal Pillows for her from Cpap.com and I'm wondering if I will still have to use the nasal strips because of a deviated septum on one side. I'm thinking that the direct pressure of the air in my nostrils might expand that side enough to eliminate the need for the strips. Would be great since that's one less expense put out just to get a good night's sleep. Has anyone had any experience with the P10's and breath rite strips?

I have a recent experience with just the same. P10 expands my nostrils so well that there simply is no need for BreatheRight nasal strips.

No deviated septum here, but nasal pillows should open you up without the use of the nasal strips. I can actually breath past relatively severe congestion with them, when the issue arises. Best bet is just try it without the strips. If you need them, use them.

Based on the degree of expansion that the P10 does to my nose, I would say that the strips might inhibit some of it.

Just make sure you use the biggest pillows you can for max air flow.

I think the large pillows did stretch my nares just a tad. But they sure do blow well even when I'm congested (APAP 11-20) so no ramp for me.
