Re: humidifier help
It would help to know what machine you have (Resmed has issued hundreds of models over the years).

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Re: humidifier help
Figure out exactly which model machine and humidifier you are currently using.Aunkster wrote:it was early when i made first post ,its a remstar pro ..cflex plus...
If you have a Remstar Pro that's a Respironics machines and buying a Resmed humidifier would be a total waste of money.
Look on the bottom of the blow unit for a 3 digit model number...may have DS, REF or P in front or behind the 3 digits.
If you see a 450 number...then that model machine is not compatible withe the Respironics heated hose and your only choice is for a stand alone heated hose like the Aussie heated hose or the Hybernite 2300 heated hose. You can't buy a 60 series humidifier and stick it on a 50 series blower and have it work.
If you see a 460 number then that model machine and the 60 series humidifier is compatible with Respironics heated hose.
You also need a special lid on the humidifier that has little plug ins for the heated hose and you also need an 80 watt power brick instead of the usual 60 watt power brick.
If you have a 460 machine then you can buy an upgrade it to make the humidifier conversion to heated hose.

It's easy to do the change...I did it without having any issues.
It would be helpful if once you figure out exactly which machine you are using if you would add your equipment to your profile like I have mine...then we can offer more specific ideas when you ask questions like this.
