Re: FFM with a beard
No grizzly adams, but it is a full beard - not one of those stubble things the young fellers sport these days:) I may try Julie's suggestion with the Forma - thanks Julie! Anyone know of mask liners that help with leaks in general and with beards in particular? Shaving is an option way down the road...

Re: Directions for posting screen shots
Thanks folks. Anyone know if I can post a link using GoogleDrive? I tried it before and could not get it to work.

FFM with a beard
If you have successfully used a FFM with a full beard I would really appreciate hearing your experience. I have a beard and am considering trying a FFM, but need somewhere to start that others have found works.

Re: Coffee Thoughts
I used to be a heavy drinker too;-) I gave it up about 2 months ago due to reflux issues. The reflux is fixed, but now post cpap I have no desire to go back on the Java. I have completely switched to loose leaf tea now, and find it a much more soothing and enjoyable drink now that I am off the caffe...

Yep, Julie is right on - please don't go! Lots of intense personalities here, but everyone has benefited from help and wants to pass it along.

Airfit P10 Pillow Longitivity
I found Swift FX pillows for me would wear out between 2-4 weeks (kid you not). I have used the same Airfit p10 pillows (original) for about 8 weeks now, and am only now seeing my leak rate start to increase as I think the pillows are starting to get softer. I would say the p10 pillow is definitely ...

Re: Central Sleep apnea
Thanks for the advice, now do you have any helpful advice? Instead of beating me with a stick advice from your experience would be great. Sure! The Rule is that should should go with the more experienced poster, so since bavinck's a Noob you should stick (as it were) with Julie. For sure Sludge is ...

Re: Frustrated
I would recommend starting a new thread with csa in the subject so experts in that area will pay attention.

Re: Frustrated
If your main concern is central apnea then your doc will hopefully be looking at moving you to an Asv machine that helps jump start your breathing when your brain stops. Now, you may need to go through a process to get one by proving that you have complex apnea. You need to be working with your doc ...

Re: Frustrated
A full face mask or using a chin strap would certainly minimize leaks. However, if you have your therapy optimized it is very likely that even some mouth breathing would not prevent the machine from adjusting the pressure so the mask pressure is what is prescribed. Solving the leak issue is highly d...

Re: Frustrated
Getting a data capable machine is the only way to know if the therapy is affective, and if not why. With a data capable machine, and continuing to seek help here, you will see improvement in your therapy. My first month or so was much worse than it was before cpap, but after 6 months I feel much bet...

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
When using the swift fx I attached a swift nano hose to the pillows. The vent on that is much more adjustable than the pillows hose, and then I easily redirected the hurricane away from my wife. I searched the ResMed site and got no hits on "nano hose". So (I assume) you had a Swift Nano FX and a S...
