Re: Hi - I'm new here
Hi Rob, welcome aboard! Nice to have another local guy here[SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]. What sleep clinic are you working with? I use the Centre for Sleep and Human Performance in Sundance, absolutely fantastic clinic with very helpful staff. Let me know if you have any local questions, I can t...

FYI: I for one am really benefiting from this discussion and would love it if data got posted here. However, I do understand that is some work. Just thought I would let you know.

In two months I have not cleaned my mask and not had any problems with plugged vents. I use a heated hose to prevent rainout. Otherwise I am not sure why you would have problems with a plugged vent. Weekly cleaning, to me, seems like big time overkill.

Can one of you explain what SWJ is? This conversation is very interesting, but I am unfamiliar with this.

Re: Recommendation for Nasal Pillow
I second the nominations for Airfit P10 and Swift FX. I use the P10 regularly now, but the Swift FX is an excellent mask. The P10 is lighter, quieter, and tends to "disappear" from my head after a few minutes. The Swift FX is a bit more bulk (nothing compared to a FFM), and the vent is much more pro...

Re: bipap auto ASV help newbie
If you remove the AHI graph and include the leak graph that will help us. I use the same machine, but I have not yet grasped the nuances of the settings. I have simply kept the prescribed settings. It seems yo might want to tryinching up the max IPAP a bit and see if that helps. I think some good m...

Re: ResMed epr algorithm
That first link JDS74 provided seemed to indicate the resmed algorithm was not as effective as the PR algorithm in general. Am I miss reading? Not sure where I read it now, but the enhanced autoset algorithm sounds good. Is that is current vpap machines only? These links are awesome, so glad I asked!

Re: Rape topic?
I am not being part of the thread. The subject pushes too many buttons on all sides. Brings up to much experience. It should have been dropped, closed a long time ago. IMO this is the biggest concern. Making people aware of danger can be helpful, but we must be sensitive to ladies that have trauma ...

Re: New - And trying to be hopeful
I use a barrel cozy (from Pad a Cheek) that eliminated rainout due to my breathe in my swift fx pillows. I am sure they make something similar for the wisp. Worked like a charm for me. Heated hose with barrel cozy in dead of winter = no rainout for me!!

A liner is fabric that goes between the silicone cushion on the mask and your face. Helps reduce skin irritation and leaks. Two big players: http://www.padacheek.com/PAC_Maskliners.html - reusable http://www.remzzzs.com/ - daily Many people have found them very helpful. Your DME should have both com...
