BiPap Machine

Post by mrs_plow » Tue Dec 16, 2014 11:28 am

Hello,

First let me say this is a terrific forum and I wish I'd found it sooner.

I have what I think is a bi pap machine I was wanting to sell and was wondering if the users here could offer advice on a fair price and possibly verify that it is a bi pap and not a cpap. The unit belonged to my husband who passed away in January one of the contributing factors was obstructive sleep apnea. He could never get along with his machines . From reading through the threads I think I've pictures of the important information about the machine.

Appreciate any help anyone can give in regards to this unit.

It is a BiPap machine.
Respironics PR System One 50 series BiPap Auto model 750.
Could you go to the other screen in the info section that shows machine hours (I think that's the term) and not just blower or therapy hours. Just to verify that the total machine hours is same as the blower hours. The screen you are currently showing for therapy hours is a screen that can be reset to 0 and still have other hours of use on the machine itself.
It probably is going to show the same number of hours but anyone who might be interested will want that verification.

Fair price is whatever you and a potential buyer are happy with. If the machine hours are as low as the therapy hours then that will be a big plus.
It is still a discontinued model though...replaced by the 60 series same type of machine...so that hurts it a little.

The other screen you are looking for is accessed by pushing the main knob and ramp button at the same time and cycling through the info screen to Machine Hours

Sorry for your loss. This machine may make someone who has a high deductible or no insurance very happy. It certainly appears to be in good condition and serviceable. Being a 950 rather than 960 will drop the value to probably $300 or possibly less (wild guess).

It is not a 950 ... but a 750 and it would be very unusal to have only 34 hrs. .... that is less than a weeks use .

I purchased a pr760p on craigslist two months ago for $500 I overpaid a little cause it was low hrs ... less than 300 hrs.

depending on total hrs it is probaly worth $100 to $150 to someone with no insurance, or as a backup .
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Hi Thank you so much for the replies. I've tried to pull up machine hours but just came up with therapy and blower hours thus far. I really appreciate the support .
