Best subject line I've seen all year Now all I have to do is read the link. EDIT: Okay, I read it. I'm now worried my bedroom isn't cool enough and I'm also worried I don't have enough brown fat. Two new things to ponder when I'm falling asleep. <sigh> Interesting article tho... Thanks.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

You probably need brown fat so you can tolerate a cold room.
I wonder if the brown fat was in quantities sufficient to benefit metabolism.
If not, why bother? Cold makes my joints ache--damn arthritis!
How much pain-killer would I need? When the room is warm, I don't need any at all.

66 degrees in hospital scrubs and a light sheet? Brrrr. I though I was gold natured, but couldn't take that.

My fingers got cold just thinking about it! Yeah... that's it!

Dang, I need to either learn how to type on a tablet or read what I am typing. It autocorrects silently and usually makes a bigger mess of things. Oh well, some of my typos/misspellings have been kind of funny.

Some hospital rooms are so cold it's a wonder anyone gets well!
Considering the room rates, you'd think they could turn up the darn heat!

trying to keep the bugs from reproducing, you know the danger zone of 40-140... can't get away with keeping the rooms at 140 for very long, everybody would end up medium rare !!!

I doubt it has anything to do with microbes, otherwise they would isolate patients prone to C-Diff or MRSA
---on admittance! Heat is expensive; when you let accountants set the thermostat, everyone is miserable.

Sixty one degrees is where we set it in the winter.
I like cold nights. I just add blankets.
We set it for seventy in the summer with AC because the ambient humidity never gets low enough otherwise.
For the most the summer, a cotton sheet and a vellux blanket are great.
We add a couple warmer blankets for winter and just remove a layer if we get hot.

It makes sense then, if you may be prone to diabetes-related conditions, to sleep in a room that is as cold as is comfortable for you.

But what makes even more sense is not sleeping in a room that is uncomfortably cold. In that case, your body is actually trying to tell you something, and that something is "turn up the heat; I'm freezing to death".

I never liked a cold bedroom. Sleeping when it is too cold, and especially too hot, is stressful. Comfort with the temp is a barometer of a lack of that stress. I'm at 73 in the winter with lots of blankets, and 81 in the summer with nearly nothing, and the paddle fan going. That is not going to change based on the odd blog stumbled across. Both strategies are designed to keep me, my core temp, the same, year around, and to be energy efficient.

Yes, keep them coming. This can be depressing reading all these problems people have. Levity needed.

I don't think you understood the one that somebody caught about channel/chanel?

Oh give me a little credit. And...I can't really blame that one on autocorrect.

I suggest a thorough credit check before any lending!
