Air too cold, could I wrap a heating pad around hose?

Post by Bugbarb » Thu Nov 20, 2014 3:34 pm

I just got a pair of remstar machines. The one without the heated humidifier is the remstar lite. For the price of a stand alone humidifier, I might as well sell the remstar lite and buy a machine with a humidifier off of craig's list. So, my creative mind thought of this: Why not wrap a heating pad around the hose? I have one that is very, very low wattage, so it doesn't get hot enough to melt anything. In fact I have two that I let my old cats sleep on and keep them on all the time.

So, are there any other creative ways to warm up the air in the hose without buying a humidifier or another machine?

Now that is getting creative! Wow! Heat tape.....I'm impressed. Too bad I can't run out to my local pet store and get some. I'll keep thinking.

I have this hose. It will work for your new machine as well.
--But you could wrap fleece around the hose to the older machine.
