Went to sleep Dr today

Post by Greg Riddle » Fri Oct 31, 2014 3:32 pm

Finally meet the sleep Dr today after a year and several months into the sleep apnea world. I've been using the cpap for a year now.

The sleep Dr seems very reasonable. Didn't mind that I have been adjusting the settings. They where irritated that the dme hasn't been reasonable and that I haven't been able to talk to anyone to get help out information. They also set up another titration. They also set up an appointment with the manager at the dme because of the lack of information and communication. They also have me a prescription for a nasal spray for allergies

My understanding of what went wrong with my entire experience is improving

Hopefully. I will get some satisfaction

Unfortunately the DME gave you a "brick" for a machine. It gives you no data as to how your therapy is going. If you had a better machine you would not need the titration...you could do it yourself.

The difference in price between the S9 Escape and the S9 Elite appears to be approximately $50. The titration study will cost $2,000-$5,000. Some of this is absolutely the insurance companies' fault -- they can't seem to figure out how to spend a few tens-of-dollars in order to save thousands-of-dollars.

I had nasal surgery a year ago and have been riding since. As for pillows I have looked for years and the only thing I like is a feather pillow. Not good for allergies
