Resmed S9 and Leaks

Using the latest version of Sleepyhead, I see a percent of time in Large Leak territory. Couple of questions. First, what percent would be considered a problem to address? Second, what percent is needed to get that red unhappy face on the machine? I use pillows and see about 20% large leak territory. When I use my FFM, sometimes it goes way down, sometimes way up for no reason. Currently on FFM #3 trying to find one that works but I am a side sleeper and it always moves.

It takes 30% or more time in large leak territory to get Mr Frowny face.
I also look at how far into large leak territory I went...anything above 24 L/min gets a large leak flag but then there are minor large leaks (like 25 to 28 L/min) and then there's bigger leaks which might be over 35 L/min.
Above 30 L/min and the machine starts running into trouble maintaining adequate therapy pressure and starts losing sensing ability. That's why we see green unknown apneas over 30 to 35 L/min range.
Above 35 L/min and things really get iffy in both terms of sensing and flagging events and maintaining any sort of effective pressure.

So I take into account just how far above 24 L/min I might go as well as the % of time I am up there.
Not long ago I had my highest leak ever....36% of the time in large leak and a substantial part of it over 30 L/min.. It was ugly for sure. Mask was going all over the place I guess and I decided it was time to replace the nasal pillows ..they were only 10 months old. The night before and after that record leak also had more leaks than I might usually see and that reinforced the idea that maybe it was time for the nasal pillows to be retired. Since I have done that...leaks are from 0% in large leak to maybe 3 % which I don't give a second glance.
Funny thing about the night with the record big leak...I slept through it.
