Is there an easy way to merge data from old and new PAP
Is there an easy way to merge data from old and new PAP
Yesterday Crapria replaced my noisy old PRS1 960 TS with a new one.
First night the new one seems much quieter except for the beep when I turn it on and off.
Is there a volume control for the beep?
I asked Crapria for the Clinician's manual. They said I am not supposed to get it.
I said that I needed to set up the machine since all their RTs were too busy to see me. They said they would find a way to get it to me, since they did not want me to go the weekend without therapy. I did not mention that I had already placed the 2 machines side by side and copied all the settings from old to new, so I wouldn't miss any.
I used the first 960 for 365 days (a happy coincidence) with 100% compliance.
How do I append the ongoing data from the new 960 to both Sleepyhead and Encore Pro 2?
I also noticed that the old machine was firmware version 2.0 and the new one is 3.0. other than the loud beep on start stop, and the absence of Casper howling at me all night I have not determined the differences.

You don't have to do anything special with the software...just import/download as usual with the new SD card in the same user profile. Neither SleepyHead or Encore will have a problem with multiple machines being under one user profile.
Regarding the on/off beep. Look in the clinical setup for "Silent Mode" and turn it to "On".

Re: Is there an easy way to merge data from old and new PAP
Here's a question (yeah, it's kind of a boring day at work today... )
Suppose a husband and wife both have cpap machines -- what happens if they swap their cards accidentally? Does the machine know "this is not my card!" or does it just make a mess out of the data? What happens if you load a card into the wrong profile?
(Back when I was in high school, my brother and I were out driving around in the family car and got pulled over for having an expired sticker. It turned out that my mom had put both stickers for both cars on the other car. When my dad went to the SoS office and explained this rather embarrassing story, the lady behind the counter said that this happens often enough that it has its own check box in the "why do they need the replacement sticker" form. The lady also, chuckling, commented that the person who comes in always blames it on the spouse! My dad said, "that's my story and I'm sticking to it!")

Not sure if you import the data, but each machine has it's own serial number and that shows with the data you import.cathyf wrote:Here's a question (yeah, it's kind of a boring day at work today... )

s9 machines will reformat the card, prs1 will write a different serial number directory on the card.cathyf wrote:Here's a question (yeah, it's kind of a boring day at work today... )

don't know what as10 machines will do.
myself, I make a note on the card since there's three s9's in the house at the moment.

Cathyf,
If you use Encore, it will tell you its not your card and you would have to assign the card to get it into your profile.

Where exactly is the "silent Mode" setting? I cannot find it in my "provider guide" or device menu. I have the 960 (BiPAP autoSV Advanced System One).Pugsy wrote:You don't have to do anything special with the software...just import/download as usual with the new SD card in the same user profile. I have never seen a 960 machine but I have seen a 460, 560 and 760 and they all had silent mode available in the clinical setup menu.pswartz wrote:Where exactly is the "silent Mode" setting? I cannot find it in my "provider guide" or device menu. I have the 960 (BiPAP autoSV Advanced System One).
Perhaps it isn't available in the 960 if you can't find it. I thought it was available on all the 60 series machines.

Exactly what report would you like to see?sc0ttt wrote:I"d like to see some Encore readouts showing -

I have data from three different machines under my one user ID in Encore.
I'm not sure what report would show all three machines.
