How does one intergrate oxygen readings into sleepyhead?

Post by JimP » Thu Oct 23, 2014 10:24 pm

I was looking at sleepyhead and noticed that there appears to be a way to integrate oxygen levels into the charts.

Seems like pretty good information to have.

What kind of oxygen sensors and where do you get them? Do you plug them into your bipap machine or what?

Thanks to all who answer.

sleepyhead docs list all the units that it supports, the ones that I know off off hand are

CMS50 D+ E F H I (I have the cms50D+ and cms50I, I prefer the I

resmed official (plugs into the back of resmed s9 units)

respironics official (plugs into the back of prs1 units)

the CMS units range from 50-100$ if you shop around a bit.

the 'official' ones, besides being more of a pain in the arse (another wire going from you to the cpap) are around 1000$, last I heard.

the non-official ones upload via usb.

Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Thanks for posting.

In looking at the CMS 50D+, I'd think that it would get knocked off during the night. Do you have any problems with it staying on? Any modifications such as using blue painter's tape to keep it on????

I also came across this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EGL ... QOSLYKJPH9 You kinda have to dig around a bit, but it appears to be something like a wrist watch with a finger tip probe that's wired to the wrist watch looking device. My guess would be that the smaller/lighter finger tip probe would stay on your finger better. Of course it cost four times as much too. aaaargh.

as I said, I prefer the cms50I model, the one you found is the F, (it says so right in the middle of the description) yes, the F and I are wrist mounted with fingerclips that stay on nicely all night long.

look on aliexpress.com, put in cms50i and scroll down through the listings, there's three listings for under 100$, I'm assuming you're smarter than someone with years of "IT" experience and two alleged degrees that couldn't figure out how to operate a website a couple days ago.
