Re: Is the AirMini worth it?

I travel a fair amount. At home I use an S9. Depending on the type/length of travels I will either use an Airmini or an S8. I don't use humidity ever, so that's not a factor with me. Things that influence my decision as to which to take: Mode of travel - will I be travelling by car (space is not an ...

Re: Recent Power outage experience

Do you know the difference in size/weight/capacity between the Pilot24 and the Pilot24lite? Using the Pilot24lite I could only get about 1.5 nights on my AirMini (And I know I was not the Aussie atmosphere as I was getting these 1.5 nights sailing in the Whitsundays at the exact time you were sans p...

Re: S9 turning off in the middle of the night....

Knowing him, I think that turning off the auto on/off will work better than the leak alarm (if he even had it.) I guess it is the simplest fix.

Re: S9 turning off in the middle of the night....

Well, it's not an electricity problem - he switched sides of the bed with his partner, and they moved machines, but not the cords, and it still happened (no problems with his partner's machine on either side...) He uses some sort of nasal mask (I'll have to find out which) and I'll have him look at ...

S9 turning off in the middle of the night....

A friend (well, for full disclosure: my ex) has a new S9 Autoset. Knowing I have one, he called after the first couple of nights and told me that it shut off a couple times in the middle of the night. Once he started breathing again it turned on again. I loaned him my loaner (the same model and almo...

Re: MyAir.com -- PissedMeOff.com more like it...

With the increasing use of the Internet, it's becoming more and more common to be able to buy things directly from the manufacturers and product-named companies. I'VE DONE IT......MANY TIMES.......AND RECENTLY, TOO. Remington Arms (extra shotgun barrel) and Cabela's (fishing rods with their name on...

Re: MyAir.com -- PissedMeOff.com more like it...

It's always been a mystery to me that the manufacturers don't even factor in the end users. Oh, yeah, they've got stuff on their websites, but in reality, the "consumer" is the DME (those who sell the equipment).......it stops with them. Most of the users trying to contact the manufacturers with is...

Re: travel machine

For travelling I use one of two machines (at home I use an S9): 1. If I am going to be in a situation where I will need a battery I use my Transcend (as I bought the battery pack for it) 2. If I am not going to need a battery I use my S8 Autoset II. It has most of the functionality of my S9 but is m...

Re: anyone here regularly use some sort of sleep aid?

Not to change the subject, but how is the situation in Belgium? Relatively relaxed. Not relaxed like the Netherlands (i.e. no licensed cafe's or any of that), but relaxed. A couple of years ago there was some talk of bringing in a Dutch type system here in Belgium....but so far nothing has come of ...

Re: How the Feds Made the Country Fat

Now, you tell me, is oatmeal sugar? I have played around with what oatmeal does to my blood sugar. If I have wholegrain oatmeal, made with unsweetened almond milk my blood sugar stays low. If I have the 'fun' kind of oatmeal (the instant kind with all the flavourings and stuff in it) my blood sugar...

Also, don't use the instant/quick varieties...they are more broken up/crushed. The more 'whole' the oats are, the longer it takes to get into your blood stream....

Re: How the Feds Made the Country Fat

Ahh. ..I have the plain oatmeal (well, I do add a bit of cinnamon) with unsweetened almond milk. No sugar spikes.
