Trouble downloading Sleepyhead........

Post by Country4ever » Tue Sep 23, 2014 9:17 am

I usually download my data card to get Sleepyhead data about eveyr 10-14 days, if my sleep is good. Today I went to download it and it keeps saying "Couldn't find any new machine data at the location given".
What do you think is wrong? (Yes, the card has been in the machine all this time).
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you made sure the sdcard shows up on your computer as loaded?
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

Is your SD card in the locked position?

I can't speak to all S9 machines, but my vpap auto won't start if the card is locked.

sometimes I bump the slider putting it in, and then that night, put on the mask... and nothing happens... pull the card, push it back to 'unlocked' pop it in, and it starts right up.

Hmmm......It was in the unlocked position, but I moved it back and forth and tried it again, but it's a no-go.
I've done everything the same way I've done it for a year, but it just doesn't accept it now.
Is it possible I pressed some button accidentally on my S9 machine that made it not do something?
I've tried using a "new location" on Sleepyhead, but it still won't download.
Anymore ideas?
I can't say for sure which drive it was on before, and I've been playing around with it. Is there a way of knowing which area in the computer it was on originally?

Krelvin..........I'm not sure exactly what you mean about the computer seeing the card as loaded. Could you explain that more? Thanks!

there is no setting in the s9 that can prevent it from writing data to the card.

however, it's possible that the s9 might experience some bug that makes it not write data like it should. other people have suggested that unplugging it, waiting a few seconds, and plugging it back in (a reboot) may help.

you can look in the DATALOG directory on your sd card and see what the latest files are in there, if there's nothing with a date from the last few days, then the s9 hasn't been writing. if there are files, then for some reason, sleepyhead isn't finding them.

Depending on which platform, version etc... you should be able to see the SDcard has loaded on your computer when you insert it like:

If that is not showing up (and it most likely will be a different drive letter), it might be you need to reboot your computer.

If it still is not showing up, then your computer is not able to read the SDCard for some reason. Trying a new one might fix the problem.

Thanks everyone.

I've tried turning it off and then back on and that didn't help. The good news is that all the dates up to today are on the Datalog.
I think I got into some kind of trouble in the past when I put a different card in. It asked me something and I think I chose the wrong thing.
Do any of you know what might be needed if I put a new card in? (Sorry if that's so vague.....haha).

YAY! I figured it out! I don't know why, but I wasn't making sure that the right disk was being looked at. I know one of you asked me that before, but I guess I didn't go through the steps right then.
YAY! I really appreciate your help!
Thanks so much.

the new sleepyhead fights those gremlins by doing a scan of disks looking for cpap data. kinda handy

should be in open beta "soon"
