Re: I need advice in Michigan
Call your primary's office and get the name address and phone number of the sleep lab. Call the lab and talk to them about your concerns.
The staff at many sleep labs like to go home by 6 or 7 AM.
You may need to call your insurance co to get a list of all in network sleep labs in your area. Then you can research them on line and call those that sound best to you, until you find one that suits you.

Simple, just call the sleep doc's office, and ask what labs they use for sleep studies.
Then call them and ask if they ever schedule studies for the hours you require.
As much as these places are paid, there is no reason they cannot accommodate you.
Do not even let them set you up for a time you would not normally be sleeping.

Re: I need advice in Michigan
Hi Belle - you can also check with your insurance company to see if they will cover an in-home apnea test. This is much cheaper than lab testing, and much more comfortable for patients overall, from what I understand.
I did an in-home test through SNAP Diagnostics; you can find them through an internet search. You might also want to try calling any of your local DME's to see if they have in-home testing kits.

In Grand Blanc Michigan is:
Mid Michigan Sleep Center
George Zureikat, MD
8203 South Saginaw St
Grand Blanc, MI 48439
When I was in my wife was asking about off shift sleep studies as my son works 3rd, they said that they can do sleep studies at any time of the day. It might just take a little longer to get it setup.
the "home sleep studies" appear to be coming more common and might be worthlooking into
edit - corrected typo

If you need a DME in Michigan I highly recommend Airway Oxygen, I couldn't possibly be happier with their service. They gave me exactly what I asked for, helped me get everything I needed and will even ship stuff at no cost to me if I can't stop by to pick it up.
*Conflict of Interest Notice*: Other than being a happy customer, I have no other relationship with Airway Oxygen in anyway whatsoever.
