I am getting my first mask that isn't nasal pillows. I'd love to hear which mask you guys recommend. Thanks in advance to all who respond.

Hi, really like to help you and not waste your time, because everyone's face is very different. Go to Cpap.com and look under masks, pick a category and then go through what's there - best variety/options available, lots of pix and reviews, etc. and cheapest prices. You'll see how many there are to choose from and then you can come back here with faves and check them out with us... not suggesting you're going to buy from them, but it's a great place to window shop!

If you're interested in a comfortable efficient full face mask, I personally like the new ResMed AirFit F10. I think it's a huge jump forward in mask technology. No, I don't work for ResMed, sell their products or have stock in the company. The Wisp is a good runner up for a nasal mask.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I love the Airfit F10 but be sure you check out posts about fitting and how tight or loose it needs to be. I have posted several. The videos on this website are most helpful. Found them AFTER I wasted time with trial and error

I would be interested to know why you "can't use nose pillows". My first year on a CPAP was spent using a mask and it was miserable. I changed suppliers and the new one suggested I try a nose pillow style system. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO A NASAL MASK!

I'm with Yooperman, I'd like to hear your reasoning for not "being able" to use nasal pillows. It may be something that's a quick fix with a little patience or minor adjustments

I also have not been able to wear the nasal pillows. I think because my headgear strap will not stay down on the back of my head ( never could wear elastic headbands either) . Anyway ive used my cpap for quite a few years mostly using the respironics s profile lite petite size _ the headgear has to be ordered seperately. Back when I had my sleep study done the second night they had different masks to try and after I chose this mask the nurse told me that this was the one most people ended up with. It's. Rather an old mask but works for me as I like to smoosh my face into the pillow. If anyone wants to share with me the secret of wearing the pillows I will try again. I have a fishrr and pakel opus? And I tried again the other night after reading some posts on here about how to wear the headgear, but still couldn't get it on without leaking like crazy.

Don't rule out full-face masks. I know they're not as popular, but IF you can find a really comfortable one (and this can be a big if) it is really nice to use. Bad ones (uncomfortable or leaking) can be a nightmare, but good ones are a joy, or as much as a mask can be.
